Become a Religious Education Catechist. We Need You!

Catechist and students
Our Baptism is God's call to do something. Maybe you are called to be a catechist. Besides ... it's a good thing to do.
We have catechist openings on several age levels. If you would consider becoming a catechist in our program, you can find information here. Use our Contact Page to discuss the possibilities with the program's director of religious Education.

Time to Register your Children
for our Religious Education Program!

Our program provides religious education in English for
Grades 1 to 8 on Monday evenings, September to May.

We prefer to have children enrolled for all eight years. Our curriculum, based on what the bishops of the U.S. want taught each year, gradually forms children in the knowledge and practice of their Catholic Faith over the course of these years. The teachings of the Church are taught in the way an age level can understand them. They are revisited as the students get older. We teach the tenets of the Catholic faith that the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops requires for each level.
We include sacrament preparation in the context of this curriculum, with Reconciliation and First Eucharist preparation usually in Second Grade and Confirmation preparation in Eighth grade.

We offer special sacrament instruction
for children who enter our program ... more »

The Year of Sunday Mass

Picture
Fr. Lou Cameli
The Archdiocese of Chicago has called this school year the Year of Sunday Mass. Each week we are looking at an aspect of the Mass, one Word at a time. Visit often to find the next Word.
Fr. Lou Cameli of the Archdiocese of Chicago is the author of this informative series.
